Counseling

Welcome to VHS

The Vista High School Counseling Department provides students with educational, career, social and personal guidance. We believe it’s essential to educate the whole student in order to graduate young people who will contribute to a healthy society.

Every student is assigned a counselor who will advise the student on his or her educational goals, course planning, college and career planning and personal issues. Counselors, who provide group presentations and individual counseling, are available to help students with school and personal issues including consultations with student’s teachers and parents.

Students and/or parents may make an appointment to see their counselor during school hours. Otherwise, counselors are available to see students on a walk-in basis in the Counseling Office during student lunch and after school.
