Dear Parents and Students:
Welcome to VHS, home of the Panthers, where our mission is to nurture creators, inventors, and innovators.
Since opening in 1936, VHS has established traditions of excellence in core academics, visual and performing arts, and career and technical education (CTE), all of which provide excellent learning opportunities and make VHS such a special place to learn and thrive.
We are building on these traditions as we begin to personalize learning for every student. As part of the XQ Super School Project, this year we are expanding our House structure of learning into grades 9 and 10; building upon student self-efficacy, collaboration, and problem solving; and working to develop students who are Curious, Advocates, Resilient, Empathetic, and Socially-Emotionally well (Vista CARES).
Through our Pillars of Character, including Respect, Responsibility, Trustworthiness, and Kindness, VHS continues to emphasize a positive and safe school climate. I would like to challenge every student to connect with Panther Pride by actively participating in any of our excellent school activities, clubs, and athletics.
I look forward to meeting you and working with you as we continue to build on our journey of transformation while preparing every student for success in college and careers in the 21st century.
