The school board approved the recommendations from the Superintendent's Council for Innovative Learning. Details regarding the two models, Vista Classic and Vista Virtual, are listed below.
The school year start date for students has been changed to September 8, 2020. All parents will be able to register for the learning model that is best for their student.
While the school year may start with virtual learning for all students due to the current county health orders, Vista Unified will offer the Vista Classic, in-person learning model when the health order is lifted. More details can be found in the

The Vista Unified High School Instructional Sprint Team, which is comprised of a diverse cross-section of teachers and administrators from all six Vista Unified high schools, created its recommendations for Fall 2020 based on a single guiding principle: to create meaningful and relevant learning opportunities for all students regardless of the learning environment.
